Absolutely adore these games (and the remakes!), nearly started porting over this one myself back in 2020 - then I took on hard mode and ended up doing the entirety of the original Life is Strange instead. ;)
Yep it is mine - all of them are complete and available as roms within the posts on here. Well known (over 21,000 views), well-loved, and I have some of the original team among the fans of it including the co-creator Michel Koch.
I fear Nintendo a little too much to go attempting Another Code now and I've started on Life is Strange 2. Cool to see someone else working on these kind of games and will keep an eye out for some more ASHLEY MIZUKI ROBBINS [tm] here!
Ah, thanks, a friend had said they'd seen them but couldn't find them. Now I can play them~ I look forward to the sequel~!
I know the artist for AC 1/2/Recollections is aware of the first demake, that's as far as I've got with the original team. If they're not coming after me, I don't see why they'd go after you, but I'll risk it for you XP Got other projects I'm working on as well, trying to space them out and not get too burnt out on anything.
They disappeared for a couple of weeks and the URL that was around had to be changed, could've been around then. Nintendo has always had a... complicated relationship with fan works, and I'm firmly of the belief that I want things to actually be released and playable on the hardware itself. I fully expected Square Enix to come at me, but it never happened and so much of Don't Nod now being aware and following... well, when the co-creator of the entire franchise approves of how it went, what more can someone ask? ;)
Definitely easy to get burned out. Or be tempted toward other things (Lost Records: Bloom & Rage...), or wishing a newer version of GB Studio with all the fancy new things since 1.21 would work for branching conversations without requiring hundreds/thousands more things added...
I must have somehow checked in those two weeks haha.
I know, that's why I've been writing for people to not download my games, I assume they still have a leash on the base GB stuff. I might be able to figure out getting physical cartridges at some point, I've thought about it but not understood what I need plus it seems expensive.
At least SE seem OK with fan projects. I would assume CING would be OK with my demakes, if they were still about. As long as I don't do a Decollection for another decade or two I should be fine I reckon. I've always got multiple projects going at once. Need to work harder on focusing on one at a time.
Aren't we on GBS4 now? I'm still on 2, I'm not moving until I've got no WIPs left on 2 XD
