Aeons 1 - Tavern Kid
Please do not download, I can't give you permission given some of the assets aren't mine. Thankies.
The start of a fantasy series I've been planning for a decade. I'm aware the titles are different. I'll change the title screen eventually.
I have a walkthrough ready to tell anyone who gets stuck what the next step is. You will need to PM me and tell me what the specific last thing you did/picked up was.
If you struggle with the puzzle, because I could not program that as wanted, you'll find the solution within this description.
--------------------
Controls are -
Movement - WASD/ Arrow keys
A = Enter
B = Shift
Start = c (nothing mapped to it in-game)
Select = v (List for Ingredients Gathering, FINALLY FIGURED OUT!)
Most recent update for August 21st - ADDED THE SERIES LOGO.
Still no sound, sorry. BUT - I have been told this music from YouTube fits perfectly with it -

Once Parts 4 and 5 are done they will also be put here.
This random fantasy game (inspired by the Breath of Fire series) has been nearly 4 months in the making, since August.
I've been making notes for 2 months, then once I had a story figured out, I started writing the outline. And then the script took just over a week. All the while I've been working on backgrounds and altering sprites. The final amount of time spent purely putting everything together in GBStudio was at minimum 35 hours.
No accurate count as my last video, which while warring with MacAffee lagging the entire comp may have corrupted, lasted 6 hours. Last counted was 29 hours.
I don't know why I didn't think to do the counting for the other games.
Then I realised I could connect this to another couple of stories I've been trying to figure out for some of this year, and two I've had going for a decade or longer.
So we have a short sequel that was originally going to be its own game (nothing as exciting as this) and 3 stories that I have to adapt and flesh out, so I technically have a full franchise of sequels and spin-offs incoming.
Some games, but others are likely to be written-only or audioplay/Choose-your-own-adventure only, just so you know. (or even visual novels!
Might adapt them all into written form, who knows! Or from written into games/visual novels/audioplays!
Enjoy and I apologise in advance for the wait!
The correct path is ^ < > v, < > ^ v. Best move to the middle to do it. Don't panic if you step on the top one 2/3 times to get there, it doesn't wipe it.
I have also attempted to implement save flags for various points. I hope they work.
Also I am now annoyed at myself because I went through the struggle of NOT having any characters specifically gender the one you play. Only to realise what I named the game. ~facepalm~ WELP.
(This has been subtly resolved in the sequel XD)

Yes, I made ALL of this game on livestream. (At minimum 35 hours recorded.)
Unfortunately I can only archive for a couple of weeks at a time and most of the videos (Except for the GBStudio ones specifically, they're saved on my machine) are gone.
Well, the final background was saved and put on YT as a timelapse alongside the first part of GBStudio, let me know if I should add that link here. ((That will go on my Stream Archive YT Channel when it becomes active on 15th April 2022.))

The 'payment' is to stop people freely downloading it or whatever, apparently. Though that doesn't make sense since they can just pay and do it anyway? I don't get it. Oh well.

Super enjoyable little gem of a game! I loved the story and pace of the game, can't wait to see more!
